As to whether I’ve “been toiling away on a new near-masterpiece,” I’ve certainly been toiling away. The first book in the Emily Calby Series, The Hiding Girl, will be out soon, and book two is finished, along with a good portion of book three. An early unpublished version of The Hiding Girl was a semifinalist for the 2017 Publisher’s Weekly Booklife Prize, the only unpublished manuscript to be selected. Check out the Critic’s Report.
