My most recent novel, Funeral Daze (a standalone book 2 in the Danny Teakwell Series) was named as a semifinalist for the 2023 Publishers Weekly BookLife Prize and one of five finalists in the category of Mysteries/Thrillers. When people ask me to describe it, I call it a “Carl Hiaasen-esque mystery with a dark side”. (As if there could ever be a Dorian Box book without a dark side.)
