Just got the word that The Hiding Girl (Emily Calby Book 1) has won the Bronze Medal in Mystery/Suspense in the 2021 Feathered Quill Annual Book Awards. Great news to receive on a cold, coronavirus-season Saturday night. What better excuse to pour some bourbon over a block of ice?

Emily was so excited, she drank a creatine/protein shake and committed to refraining from inflicting death or serious bodily injury for the entire weekend!

Thanks, Feathered Quill! The Feathered Quill Award comes on top of awards from Publishers Weekly and Readers’ Favorite.

Speaking of Emily, book 2 in the Emily Calby Series, The Girl in Cell 49B, will be released on March 1 (Kindle version available for preorder) and is  accumulating accolades of its own. An advance review from BestThrillers.com calls The Girl in Cell 49B: “A groundbreaking, nail-biting and wondrous legal thriller.”
